What are the parties like?

Parties are held at various locations such as nightclubs, restaurants or hotels. We rotate locations for a change of pace and to please everyone.

• Entertainment is provided by disc jockeys and sometimes live bands. A variety of fun Top 40 music is played ranging from classic disco to today's hits along with some slow sets and requests.

• Complimentary hors d' oeuvres are provided at most events. Some parties provided lavish gourmet buffets which include a carving station.

• Cash Bars are provided at all parties. Some events offer 2 for 1 drinks and discounted prices exclusively arranged for the Singles Event.

Socializing is the primary function at a party. Interaction is good but don't feel under any pressure. When you see someone that you want to talk to or if someone wants to talk to you, things will happen. It's a friendy crowd.

Who attends the parties?

Nice people attend. Faces Singles is not not a cliquish organization. You will not encounter a snobby or stuck up crowd. "Faces" attracts a down to earth friendly crowd.

Some people are on the quiet or shy side while others are social butterflies.

It's a pleasant crowd...

Why should I attend?

Because one of the best ways for Singles to meet is through an organization that "BRINGS SINGLES TOGETHER".

The typical routine bar scene is depressing. Even if you like the club scene, why on earth would you go to a nightclub on the same night that a private Singles Party is being held? A Singles Party is a more wholesome atmosphere with a better element of people and you are automatically bonding with people who chose to meet at the same event.

Don't depend entirely on friends and family to set you up. You also have to get out there and do things on your own to meet people.

Fate? It's an old cliché that sounds like this: "When I'm meant to find someone it will just happen when I'm not expecting it to"--Guess What? That theory is a bunch of garbage! It's not going to happen. You have to put yourself out there and make things happen.

How much does it cost?

Faces does not charge a membership fee or joining fee.

You only pay per event at the door. No reservations are required. Most parties cost $10 or less (for those on our e mail list) and that usually includes either complimentary buffets or appetizers. Also some events offer 2 for 1 drinks and drink specials.

$10 is very reasonable. Remember, you are paying to attend an organized function specifically geared towards Bringing Quality Singles Together.

It's not the typical routine bar scene.

What's the age group?

The parties attract a well balanced mix of ages. People attending the parties simply gravitate to those in their own age bracket or whoever they feel comfortable socializing with.

Occasionally we hold parties for different age groups. For example one party might advertise for people ages 30 to 50 while another party might be for ages mid 40's to mid 60's

Even if it's an all ages party nobody should feel out of place because there will always be enough people to meet in your age range.

How Should I dress?

Casual but neat

While some of the parties are held in upscale impressive locations the attire is never formal. You aren't attending a wedding or presidential ball. You are going to a singles dance. Wear what you would normally wear when you like to go out on the weekend to look nice.

Men: A pair of dress slacks or nice jeans and a collared shirt will do just fine. Some men like to wear a sports jacket.

Women: Dresses, skirts, jeans, pant suits etc.

You know how it is with you women. Your closet is packed with clothes but you don't have a thing to wear.
